If you enjoy walking and would like to be guided on countryside, mountain or coastal walks but do not know where to go then let me take you to see the fantastic countryside of the Algarve.
Get away from the holiday hotspots and enjoy a half or full day’s walk at your pace. There is nothing better than warm sun on your back, the smells and scents of the wild flowers, the eucalyptus and pine trees and the citrus of orange and lemon groves.
Lunch in a small café with country cooking to tempt you, see how the local people live away from the hustle and bustle of the coastal strip. The centuries old donkey tracks and paths are still there – they just take a little bit of finding but I will always do my best to find them.
For the serious walker there is the new long distance route. Titled GR13 or the Algarve Way which takes you from the Eastern boarder of Portugal with Spain through to the Western Coast of Portugal and down to Cape St Vincent, the furthest point west in Europe. It's a two week walk at a moderate pace and I am able guide you the whole way or parts, offer backup support and arrange accommodation. Just get in touch if this is what interests you.
