Welcome to Algarve Walking Experience

If you enjoy walking and would like to be guided on countryside, mountain or coastal walks but do not know where to go then let me take you to see the fantastic countryside of the Algarve.

Get away from the holiday hotspots and enjoy a half or full day’s walk at your pace. There is nothing better than warm sun on your back, the smells and scents of the wild flowers, the eucalyptus and pine trees and the citrus of orange and lemon groves.

Lunch in a small café with country cooking to tempt you, see how the local people live away from the hustle and bustle of the coastal strip. The centuries old donkey tracks and paths are still there – they just take a little bit of finding but I will always do my best to find them.

For the serious walker there is the new long distance walker route. Titled GR13 or the Algarve Way which takes you from the Eastern boarder of Portugal with Spain through to the Western Coast of Portugal and down to Cape St Vincent, the furthest point west in Europe. It's a two week walk at a moderate pace and I am able guide you the whole way or parts, offer backup support and arrange accommodation. Just get in touch if this is what interests you.

Terry is a long distance walker and rambler with considerable experience at walks leading and recently obtained his Mountain Leaders Training Group Walking Leader award.

A Mercedes V class People Carrier is used to collect walkers and backpacks. Pick ups can be made at convenient locations or at your door of wherever you are staying, my costs for this service are reasonable covering my expenses. Further accommodation on longer walking tours can also be arranged.

The best approach is to just tell me what you have in mind when contact is made and the days walking can be organised to suit you from there, you are the one on holiday and I will endeavor to make sure you enjoy and will remember the experience of walking in the Algarve.
